Interview with Jared Firestone

I had an awesome opportunity to interview Jared Firestone. For those of you who do not know, Jared is a skeleton athlete for Bobsleigh Skeleton Israel (“BSI”). Jared is coming off a great 2022 season where he won bronze and silver medals in Park City, Utah and gold in Lake Placid, New York. I spoke with Jared while he was recovering from a bicep injury that he incurred during training. Jared and I covered a wide range of topics related to his journey getting into the sport of skeleton and representing Team Israel. His story is a shining example of determination and perseverance. It was truly inspiring to learn about what motivates him to represent Team Israel.

Below is a sneak peek at one of the questions that Jared answered during our interview.

What has been your most memorable experience in your career as a BSI athlete?

Jared responded by saying, “winning a race for Israel and hearing Hatikvah. That was something I knew I had to do in my career.”
